The School of Ordnance has closed its Second Quarter Courses in Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant, Advanced Tailoring, and Advanced Leather-work on Friday, 22 December 2023.

The courses which span for 24 weeks, had a total of 112 participants, out of which 82 students completed. The remaining 30 students in the Young Ordnance Officers Course are set to finish after two more semesters.

The Guest of Honour for the occassion, Colonel Osman Shaman Zuneidu,, congratulated students on completing their courses, praising their conduct and discipline. He was optimistic the knowledge gained would aid their carrer progression and encouraged them to utilize their knowledge in providing competent services to GAF.

He commended Colonel Jude Barry Mwinyel and the CO of the School for overcoming challenging circumstances to achieve course objectives and maintain military standards. “I commend you for the hard work and the training of our future logisticians, fashion designers, and leather workers”. He added.

Commanding Officer (CO) School, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Edna Kyerewaa Antwi stated that the School aims at providing suitable platforms for the personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces to upgrade their knowledge and skills. She indicated that since the School has been affiliated to the Accra Technical University, students are given GAF certificates in addition to Advanced Diplomas in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and Fashion Designing, depending on the courses they pursue.

The graduating students showcased their creative skills by exhibiting military apparel, civilian clothes, leather belts, and shoes they crafted.
