CWO ADDO DANIEL

Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Addo Daniel was born on 12 September, 1972. He attended Nkwanta Secondary School in the Volta Region of Ghana for his Ordinary Level Certificate and Kumasi Polytechnic for Royal Society of Arts (RSA Stage III) Accounting Option. He also holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from the same institution and BSc in Accounting from the University Of Professional Studies. (UPSA), Accra.

He was enlisted into the Ghana Army on 5 January, 1996. After a six months hard basic Military training at the Army Recruit Training School at Shai Hills in the Greater Accra region he was posted to 4 Infantry Battalion in Kumasi. CWO Addo has attended all his requisite career field courses including Basic and Advance Machine Gun, Basic and Advance Infantry Platoon Weapon Course, Advance Non-Commission Officers Tactical course and Army Drill and Duties Course at the Army Combat Training School, Teshie in Accra. He also attended Fire NCO’s Course at Armed Forces Fire Service Training School in Accra.

He holds a Diploma in American Language course from The Defense

Language Institute English Language Center in San Antonio Texas in USA. He also holds a certificate in joint knowledge online Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education II (SEJPME II) from the United States of America. Chief Warrant Officer Addo is a graduate of the "Class 68 of the United States Army NCO's Leadership Center of Excellence", Sergeants Major Course where he was inducted into the international student’s hall of fame.

Until his current appointment as the Forces Sergeant Major of the Ghana Armed Forces, CWO Addo had served with distinction as a Machine Gun Warrant officer at the Army Combat Training School, the Regimental Sergeant Major for MONUSCO GHANBATT 12, Command Sergeant Major, HQ Central Command in Kumasi and the Sergeant Major of the Ghana Army.

CWO Daniel Addo had been awarded with the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, after attaining fifteen years in the Service with unblemished record. He has further participated in the following Peacekeeping operations:

1. ECOMOG GHANBATT 16 – Sierra Leone.
2. UNIFIL GHANBATTS 57, 59 & 73 – Southern Lebanon.
3. UNMIL GHANBATTS 6 & 17 – Liberia.
4. MONUSCO GHANBATT 12 – DR Congo.

Chief Warrant Officer Addo is married to Mrs. Joyce Addo and blessed with three daughters namely; Gifty, Grace and Gloria. Chief Warrant Officer Addo’s hobbies includes keeping fit and listening to Gospel Music.
