On arrival, she was met at the airport by the Chief of Staff of UNDOF, Colonel William Nortey, Commanding Officer (CO) of the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon Ghana Battalion 91, (UNIFIL GHANBATT 91), Lieutenant Colonel Isaac Kobe Boako and some personnel of GHANBATT 91. Maj Gen Asmah expressed her gratitude to the team for the warm reception, extending her heartfelt regards to the personnel of the Battalion. UNDOF is a United Nations peacekeeping mission tasked with maintaining the ceasefire between Israel and Syria in the aftermath of the 1973 Yom Kippur war and to supervise the implementation of the disengagement agreement 
The Head of Mission and Force Commander of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), Major-General Anita Asmah has arrived in Lebanon on Sunday 2 February 2025, for onward movement to her duty station in Syria.
