6 Garrison has held a non-denominational thanksgiving service as part of the Command’s first quarter religious parade at the Air Force Base, Tamale on Sunday 18 February, 2024.

The Service was led by Reverend Flight Lieutenant Gershon Dotse under the theme “The Goodness and Mercies of God”.

Preaching on the theme, the Chaplain advised that all must be humble and acknowledge the existence of God in order for them to continue to enjoy his goodness. He further mentioned that the divine protection the Garrison has enjoyed throughout 2023 amidst rumours of terrorist attacks and invasion was a clear indication that God has been faithful.

The 6 Garrison Imam, Imam R Abdul Yamusah entreated all to live righteous lives in order to inherit rewards in paradise. He advised all to diligently work hard for God and for their country. He acknowledged that one would always go through challenges in life, but encouraged them to be strong in the Lord and learn from the accounts in the Holy Books.

Speaking on behalf of the Garrison Commander, the Command Operations Officer, Brigadier General Franklyn Worlanyo Agbebo thanked God for his goodness.  He also thanked the troops for their sacrifices towards making the Northern Command Area of Responsibility safe and secure. He added that despite the challenges faced God has been faithful to the Command hence the need to seek his guidance and protection in 2024.
