The Ghana Air Force in partnership with Dassault Aviation, has held a static display and flight demonstration of the Falcon 6X at the Air Force Base, Accra on Tuesday 1 October 2024.
The event was observed to mark the formal introduction of the Falcon 6X, a state-of-the-art aircraft that promises cutting-edge technology, enhanced safety, comfort, and ultra-efficiency. This extra-widebody business jet features an expanded cabin designed to ensure comfort and greater productivity.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe, praised Dassault Aviation for its longstanding partnership with the Ghana Air Force. He expressed confidence that the introduction of advanced aerospace technology, represented by the Falcon 6X, would contribute to the strategic goal of augmenting the fleet capabilities of the Ghana Air Force.
AVM Bekoe noted that it was a great honour to have the Falcon 6X land in Africa, with Accra, Ghana, being its first landing site.
The Base Commander of Air Force Base Accra, Air Commodore Eric Agyen-Frempong, highlighted the strong collaboration between the Ghana Air Force and Dassault Aviation, describing it as a symbol of their shared commitment to enhancing air capabilities while ensuring the safety and comfort of important individuals who board the aircraft.
In his remarks, Mr. Igor Fain, International Sales Manager and leader of the Dassault Aviation team, extended his gratitude to the Military High Command for the opportunity to present the Falcon 6X. He expressed optimism about the partnership's prospects and reiterated Dassault Aviation's commitment to providing quality and excellent service.
