He outlined his vision and mandate and also spoke about the challenges of the Unit. He mentioned that preparations have been well advanced for the next batch of recruits training, the Young Officers Course, Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Jungle expert and Special Forces, adding that cooperate bodies have been factored into the preparations. Lieutenant Colonel Codjoe emphasised the need for barracks security and urged the soldiers to be extra vigilant, check vehicles entering and leaving the barracks in order to ward off threats. He also cautioned the troops against political affiliation during the 2024 general elections. He revealed that the unit was putting adequate measures in place to start fish farming to produce their fresh fish to supplement the various mess and cook house. Commanding Officer Jungle Warfare Training School (JWS) at Akim Achiase, Lieutenant Colonel Jacob Codjoe has held his first quarter durbar with Officers, Men and Defence Civilian Staffs on Tuesday 26 March, 2024.
