United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon, Ghanaian Battalion 92 (UNIFIL GHANBATT 92) serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon and the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) have successfully conducted a joint training exercise in the Chawakeer area of Tyre on Friday, 26 September 2025.
The exercise, dubbed “Coordinated Training Activities with LAF”, was aimed at enhancing interoperability and tactical proficiency between the two forces operating in Southern Lebanon. There were also series of simulated scenarios, underscoring the growing operational synergy between UNIFIL GHANBATT 92 and the Lebanese Armed Forces.
The Guest of Honour, General Haykal Youssef of LAF commended the professionalism of both forces and reaffirmed the importance of sustained cooperation between Ghanaian and Lebanese troops in promoting peace and security in the region.
Certificates of completion were awarded to participants in recognition of their dedication and successful performance throughout the training programme.
