Commander Emilio Okyere-Dadzie has assumed command of the Naval Recruit Training School (NRTS) at Nutekpor, Sogakope following a transfer of authority from Lieutenant Commander Rashid Gimah on Wednesday 22 January 2025.

The transition was marked by a series of activities, including meetings with staff and instructors, inspection of facilities and the signing of handover notes. He also called on the Flag Officer Commanding the Naval Training Command, Commodore Solomon Asiedu-Larbi where he expressed his gratitude, pledging his loyalty and unwavering commitment to supporting the Command’s vision.

"As I take on this responsibility, along with my additional role as the first Officer-in-Charge of the Lil-May Didriksen Simulation Centre, my vision is clear—to strengthen the foundation of our recruit training program and ensure it remains a benchmark for excellence. Through collaborative leadership, I aim to enhance the professional development of our recruits, optimize the use of our facilities, and foster a culture of discipline, innovation, and teamwork", he added.

"Together, we will champion the agenda of the Naval Training Command, ensuring that our contributions uphold the Navy’s reputation and readiness to defend our nation’s maritime interests.
