The 6 Garrison has observed the annual Security Services National Day of Prayer at the Church of Pentecost in Kamina Barracks, Tamale, on Thursday 19 September 2024.
The event, themed "Pray for the well-being of Ghana and it shall be well with you," brought together security personnel and their families to offer collective prayers for the nation.
In a keynote address delivered on behalf of the General Officer Commanding Northern Command, Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, the Command Operations Officer, Colonel Frank Gyebi-Abrokwah, highlighted the significance of the occasion. He stressed the crucial role security services play in maintaining peace and stability in the country, reminding attendees of the importance of unity, vigilance, and prayer in their duties. "Our responsibilities as members of the Armed Forces require vigilance, strength, and courage," he added.
Colonel Gyebi-Abrokwah urged the congregation to uphold the values that sustain peace, pray for the strength to protect the vulnerable, and demonstrate the courage to stand for justice, even in challenging times.
The Guest Preacher, Reverend Lewis Prince Fiadzoe of the International Central Gospel Church, encouraged service personnel to remain steadfast in prayer and faith, especially in the demanding environment in which they operate.
