The Commanding Officer 6 Infantry Battalion (6Bn), Lieutenant Colonel Jerry Yao Ankuyi has added an office space to the Unit’s Administration block and presented a 30-seater Bus to the Unit on Friday 12 September 2025. The General Officer Commanding Northern Command (GOC), Brig Gen Worlanyo Agbebo in his address stated the facility demonstrates the unwavering commitment of Command to the welfare of personnel. The CO 6Bn, Lt Col Jerry Yao Ankuyi explained that expanding the Administration Block would go a long way to accommodate more personnel. He extended gratitude to the GOC for his support and unwavering commitment to enhancing the capabilities of the Unit. The new office space is dedicated to the memory of the 1st Commanding Officer (CO) of the the Unit, Lieutenant Colonel Albert Kwesi Ocran. He commended the CO for his role in the growth of the Unit, particularly his efforts in spearheading the building of a new office space. The GOC urged personnel to put the Welfare Bus to good use and advised them to develop a maintenance culture to prolong its life span.
