The Ghanaian Battalion (Ghanbatt) serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL 90) has held an induction Religious Parade under the theme Remain Loyal to the end, on Sunday, 24 September 2023 at Obeng Camp (UNP 5-66) Rubb Hall. The service was held to induct the Commanding Officer (CO), Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Frank Kwesi Agyeman into office and to commit the Ghanbatt to God. In his speech, Lt Col Agyemang admonished troops to conduct themselves professionally whiles discharging their duties at their respective Areas of Responsibility (AOR) since discipline is the Hallmark of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). During the service, the clergy, Captain (Capt) Eric Antwi and Imam Lieutenant (Lt) Abdul Majeed Shuaib Suleiman, in their respective sermons were grateful to God for granting the Ghanbatt traveling mercies to Southern Lebanon. They also used the opportunity to admonish troops to be loyal to command at all times and observe the command policy and guidance and later prayed for the colours.
