The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon Ghana Battalion 90 (UNIFIL GH90) has commemorated the 67th Independence Day anniversary of Ghana at the Ghanbatt Headquarters on Wednesday 6 March, 2024.

The Anniversary was under the theme "Our Democracy, Our Pride" involved series of breathtaking activities designed to make the historic event memorable. 

The Special Guest for the ceremony, Brigdier General Enrico Fontana, Sector West Commander lauded Ghanaian contingents for their continues dedication and sacrifices to help in the peace process in Lebanon and the devotion to duty even in dire circumstances.

He also commended the Contingent Commander, Colonel George Abosi Oppong and the Commanding Officer UNIFIL GHANBATT 90, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Kwesi Agyeman for the spectacular celebration.

The celebration was climaxed with food Bazaar and cultural display by the various ethnic groups of the Ghanbatt.

Earlier, the former Consul of Lebanon, Mr Michel Haddad also donated 12 office chairs to the Ghanbatt.
