Ms Shirley Emma Tibila, founder of Mabel’s Angels Foundation and a presenter at TV3 has extended her benevolence to patients at the 37 Military Hospital on Saturday 24 February, 2024

The humanitarian gesture formed part of events lined up to celebrate her birthday with the aims of easing the financial burden on patient at the Maternity and Opoku Wards in order to put smiles on their faces. She presented an undisclosed amount of money, hampers and bottled water to them.

An undisclosed amount of money was given to over ten patients at the Opoku ward to help them pay their medical bills. At the Maternity Ward, a patient who could not leave the hospital premises due to unpaid medical bill even though discharged over one month ago, was presented an amount of Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵ 5000).

Ms Shirley Emma Tibila said, the gesture was to appreciate God for his goodness and mercies on her birthday and to show love to patients especially single mothers who were struggling to pay their medical bills since she was also raised by a single mother.

She disclosed that the aim of the Foundation was to support Humanity especially those who in need in various ways and also to encourage them by showing them God’s love for them.

Prayers were said for patients by Pastor Selasie Addae of the Apostolic Empowerment Ministry. She was accompanied by the Manageress of the foundation Mrs Lily Morkly and some members of the Foundation.
