A delegation from the Kenyan Defence Forces (KDF) has paid a three-day working visit to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) from Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 September 2025 at Burma camp, Accra. The visit is aimed at studying the pension administration and policy framework of GAF to enable KDF improve and properly manage its pension system. Maj Gen Githinji explained that his team specifically chose Ghana because of the exemplary administration of pensions schemes in GAF. The Chief of Staff (COS), Air Vice Marshal Joshua Mensah-Larkai, on behalf of the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapon, commended the Military High Command of KDF for initiating the visit and their commitment to enhancing service delivery. COS touched on Provident Fund and emphasized its financial relevance and benefit to personnel and expressed the willingness of GAF to share pension solutions for strengthening military institutions. As part of the study tour, the delegation visited Departments and Directorates within the General Headquarters for comprehensive briefings on retirement schemes.
