ISRAELI DEFENCE DELEGATION CALLS ON CDS

A 6-member delegation from the Israeli Defence Force, led by Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Mr Roey Gilad, has paid a courtesy call on Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, at the General Headquarters on Wednesday 5 February 2025.

The visit aimed to deepen cooperation between the Israeli Defence Force and the Ghana Armed Forces in intelligence gathering, air defence systems and naval operations.

In his remarks, the Israeli Ambassador expressed gratitude for Ghana's contributions to protecting civilian lives and its professionalism as peacekeepers with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.

Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, Lieutenant General Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu received the delegation on behalf of CDS and assured them of increased collaboration between the two institutions.
