The Head of Corporate Affairs, GCB Bank PLC, Mr Linus Kumi, together with four other key members of the bank, have expressed deep gratitude to the Ghana Navy following the successful completion of a three-day boot camp.

This followed a courtesy call by the staff of the bank on the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu, at the Naval Headquarters on Thursday 3 October 2024.

According to Mr Kumi, the boot camp, held at the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) in Nutekpor, provided participants with a unique opportunity to engage in various physical and strategic exercises designed to foster teamwork, resilience, and leadership skills. The activities challenged their limits and encouraged collaboration.

He noted that feedback from employees had been overwhelmingly positive, with many stating that the experience had boosted their morale and strengthened workplace relationships.

“Our partnership with the Ghana Navy has not only equipped our staff with vital skills but also reinforced our commitment to teamwork and excellence,” he added.

The CNS congratulated the team on completing the programme and emphasised the significance of team-building exercises for corporate bodies. He commended GCB Bank for its dedication to employee development, noting that the boot camp experience would enhance collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills across their offices.

Rear Admiral Yakubu also expressed the Navy's gratitude for the opportunity to partner with GCB Bank PLC, highlighting the importance of public-private partnerships in driving growth and development. He urged other corporate organisations to follow GCB's example.
