The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has urged personnel of the Forces Pay Regiment (FPR) to prioritise the maintenance of their infrastructure to ensure its longevity.

He made these remarks while commissioning a new one-storey office facility for FPR Group 3A in Burma Camp on Friday 4 October 2024.

Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah emphasised that proper upkeep is essential for extending the building’s lifespan and expressed his desire for it to remain in excellent condition for years to come.

The CDS noted that the office was constructed in response to the pressing need for space to alleviate congestion. He credited the successful completion of the project to the Commanding Officer, Colonel MA Nkrumah, along with his dedicated team of officers, soldiers, and Defence Civilian Staff.

The new office has been named in honour of Brigadier General Enusah Abdullai (Rtd), a former Commanding Officer of FPR and Director-General of Defence Financial Comptroller, recognising his significant contributions to the Regiment.
