The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has congratulated Major General (Maj Gen) Anita Asmah on her appointment as Head of Mission and Force Commander of the United Nations (UN) Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF). Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah, at a meeting in his office on Friday 13 December 2024, attributed Maj Gen Asmah's appointment to her hard work, resilience and professional posture during her tenure as Deputy Force Commander of the same Force. Maj Gen Asmah expressed her gratitude to the CDS for his support and direction, which she believes contributed to her new appointment.
