He made this statement while leading a delegation from the Austrian Armed Forces on a courtesy call to the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, on Thursday, 21 November 2024. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between the two armed forces, focusing on security, peace, and stability. The Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, Major General Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu, received the delegation on behalf of the CDS and expressed gratitude for Austria’s continued support, including the donation of two trained dogs to the Ghana National Dog Academy. The Austrian Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Jürgen Heissel, has reaffirmed Austria’s commitment to supporting the Ghana National Dog Academy, particularly in training personnel.
