The Armed Forces Children Association (AFCA), fondly known as SOJABA, led by its Vice President, Mr Peter Nawurah, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), General (Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah at the General Headquarters on Thursday 6 February 2025.
The group congratulated the CDS on his promotion to General and also discussed matters of interest to the association.
Mr Nawura emphasised the need for a secretariat to administer members and facilitate smooth operations of the association.
General Oppong-Peprah expressed gratitude for the visit and praised the association for its mandate to instill discipline and moral etiquette in children of military personnel. He assured the association of his support in acquiring an office for its operations.
He also hoped the association will instill employable skills and hobbies in children so parents would have the peace of mind to serve God and country well.
