6 Garrison has held a Joint Induction Religious Service at the Air Force Base Tamale to usher 4 newly appointed Commanders into office on Sunday 31 August 2025. The Commanders comprise the Base Commander Air Force Base Tamale, Air Commodore Nana Adu-Gyamfi, the General Officer Commanding Northern Command, Brigadier General Worlanyo Agbebo, Commander Air Force Training Command, Air Commodore Richard Danso and the Commanding Officer 69 Airborne Force, Lieutenant Colonel Evans Komedjah. The Guest of Honour for the ceremony, the Northern Regional Minister, Honourable (Hon) Ali Adolf John acknowledged the sacrifices of service personnel and their rededication to peace and service in the 5 Northern Regions and beyond. Hon Ali John was grateful to the Military High Command for the pivotal role they play in repositioning security in the North and their commitment to ensuring that 6 Garrison remains a stronghold for security as well as serve as a bridge between national defence and development. The Director General, Religious Affairs, Brigadier General Benjamin Godson Kumi-Woode, in delivering his sermon under the theme "Esprit de Corps is a Force Multiplier", mentioned that success in the military is the result of collective will, mutual trust and shared sacrifice. He charged the Commanders to maintain teamwork, lead with integrity, humility and sacrifice to achieve a common goal. He also urged troops to remain loyal to their Commanders and assist them in achieving their mandates. In his homily, the Garrison Imam, Imam Abdul Rahim Yamusah prayed for divine wisdom, patience and strength for the newly inducted leaders. He emphasised that leadership is a responsibility towards God, others and oneself, which must be discharged with fairness in accordance with the will of God. Speaking on behalf of the inductees, the 6 Garrison Commander, Air Commodore Nana Adu-Gyamfi pledged their collective commitment to serve with integrity, courage and professionalism. He assured that the new leadership would foster inter-service collaboration and empower troops to maintain peace in the Northern Sector and to uphold the values of the Ghana Armed Forces. The occasion also marked a solemn farewell service for personnel of 69 Airborne Force as they prepare for peacekeeping duties in Lebanon (UNIFIL GHANBATT 92).
