Officers of the 37 Military Hospital have through their mess arrangement organised a three-day Food Fair for the staff and their families at the Quarter Master Yard of the formation from 15-17 November, 2023.

Some of the products exhibited were rice, tin tomatoes, cooking oil, dressed chicken, clothes, vegetables, assorted food items, beverages, school bags, alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks, tissue products, cooked foods among others.

President of the Mess Committee, Lieutenant Colonel Osei Boateng indicated that the Food Fair, first of its kind to be organized at the facility was aimed at creating a stress-free Christmas shopping for staff and their families.

The Commanding Officer (CO) 37 Military Hospital, and the Colonel (Col) of the 37 Military Hospital Officers’ Mess Col Richard Mensah stated that the fair represented innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit within the military to provide a platform for its staff and the general public to patronize products and services at reduced prices.

Col Mensah added that the trade fair provides an avenue for personnel to foster connections with the general public as well as enhance the Civil-Military cooperation, stressing that the 37 Military Hospital Officers’ Mess organized a collection of exhibitors to provide ease of Christmas shopping to all at unbeatable prices. He commended the planners of the programme for bringing the market to staff of the hospital.

Various stands were mounted by companies, distributors and individuals to exhibit their products and services for purchase by staff and family of the formation.

Present at the fair were the Director-General of the Ghana Armed Forces Medical Services (DG GAFMS), Brig Gen Raymond Ewusi, the Commander of the 37 Military Hospital Brig Gen Prosper Kwame Ayibor, Commander Critical Care Hospital Brig Gen Evelyn Vivian Kwabiah, Commander Kumasi Military Hospital Col Seth Attoh, Deputy Director-General GAFMS Col Gordon Alexis Appiah, CO for Critical Care Hospital Col  Thomas Aquinas Gbireh, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Col Francisca Aba Amakye, CNO Clinic Col Patience Owusu Aidoo and some Senior Officers and staff of the formation.
