The Ghana Military Academy (GMA) has held graduation religious service for Regular Career Course 62, Short Service Commission and Special Duties Intake 60 on Sunday 12 November, 2023 at the Academy Hall, Teshie.

The Guest of Honour for the ceremony, Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Peter Augustine Blay (Rtd) applauded the cadets for successfully completing the rigorous training which has equipped them with the relevant skills and knowledge to function as Officers.

He emphasised on regimentation and discipline as the bedrock of Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), and admonished them to uphold those values in high esteem as they discharge their duties as Officers.

 ‘Your sacrifice is a beacon of hope, a shield of protection for our national development and a blessing to mankind’. He added.

Lt Gen Blay further urged the Cadets to use their newly acquired skills to positively enhance and steer the affairs of GAF in the years to come. He implored them to be reliable, trustworthy, purposeful, polite, honest and maintain high standards at all times. He also encouraged the Cadets to develop a personal relationship with God and continually commit every step to God.

Lt Gen Blay urged parents and family members present to continue to remember their wards in prayer. He acknowledged the Commandant GMA, Maj Gen Charles Kodjo Abede Asomaning Awity, Officers, instructors and the entire GMA staff for their sacrifices in training and transforming the Cadets into Officers. 

Awards were give to some Cadets who performed well.
