The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Medical Advisory Board held a closed-door meeting at the hospital’s Boardroom on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.  The Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Adam Issah Yakubu who automatically happens to be the Chairman of the meeting was present to chair the meeting.

The meeting was attended by members of the Board. They are the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces Air Vice Marshall Appiah Agyekum, Air Vice Marshall Pumpuni (Rtd), Director General (DG) Ghana Armed Forces Medical Services (GAFMS) Brig Gen Raymond Ewusi, Commander of the hospital Brig Gen Prosper Ayibor, Commander Kumasi Military Hospital Col Seth Andrews Attoh, Director Nursing of the GAFMS Col Rex Adzagba, a specialist at the surgical division of the facility Dr Edward Asumanu, Dr Kofi Ahmed and Dr Kate Coleman Sarfo.    Col Evelyn Azera was present as the Secretary for the meeting.

The meeting was to discuss on issues pertaining to the hospital and to find solutions to them to improve the delivery of healthcare to soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff and their families as well as members of the general public who visit the hospital for healthcare delivery.

The former DG GAFMS Brig Gen Crosby Saka (Jr) Rtd and the former Commander of the hospital Brig Gen Nii Adza Obodai Rtd who are immediate past members of the Board were honored and presented with citations during the meeting.
