The Army Combat Training School (ACTS) has held a graduation ceremony for 78 students of Drill and Duty Course 2-24 at the Adiko Square, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) on Thursday 19 December 2024.
The 12-week course had personnel drawn from the Army, Navy and Airforce as well as representatives from the Ministry of Interior including the Police Service, Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, National Ambulance Service and the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority.
Speaking at the event, the Guest of Honour, the Deputy Commandant Ghana Military Academy, Brigadier General Lloyd Kwaku Attror, emphasised the significance of drill and discipline in leadership, urging graduates to uphold high standards within their units.
He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all who contributed to enhancing the quality of the course package by sharing their experiences with the students. He added that, their invaluable contributions have positively impacted the standard of the course.
Participants who excelled in the course were given special recognition. Sergeant Yeboah Addo Daniel was adjudged the Overall Best Student. Superintendent Adjei Takyiwaa Beatrice received the Sergeant Major of the Army’s Prize for Second Best Overall Student, the Commander, Army Training Command’s Award for Best Allied Service Student and the Combat Expert One Prize as the Best Female.
Staff Sergeant Salifu Mubarak received the Forces Sergeant Major’s Prize for Outstanding Student in Drill. Sergeant Yeboah Addo Daniel received the Army Headquarters Chief Staff Officer’s Award for Best in Unit Administration and the Chief of the Army Staff Prize for Overall Best Student.
