The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of the Ghana Armed Forces Major General (Maj Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah has donated two Lenovo Think Pad and an All-in-One HP Desktop to the Public Health Division of the 37 Military Hospital at the Army Headquarters in Burma Camp.
Maj Gen Oppong- Peprah in his remarks said that the donation was his personal initiative to support the Public Health Division to facilitate the work at the department.
He noted that the hospital lacks a lot of equipment and it is important to assist to make their work easier. He added that he willingly assisted because of the request from the Officer-In-Charge of the Public Health Division Capt. (GN) Harriet Manu. He added that it is not every leader that pushes for assistants and that when Capt (GN) Manu pushed for support for the Public Health Division, he felt the need to support in his capacity.Capt (GN) Harriet Manu receiving the equipment on behalf of the 37 Military Hospital stressed that data forms integral part of Public Health and the donation would help to mitigate some challenges in that regards. She said that the donation came at the right time where the number of recruitments is increasing. She added that the Public Health Division does the occupational health and safety of the Ghana Armed Forces being recruitment and others.Capt (GN) Harriet Manu said that the equipment donated would help the division to be effective and efficient as far as the work of public health is concerned. She showed appreciation to COAS for his timely intervention by donating to the division.The equipment was presented to the hospital by the Chief Staff Officer (CSO) Brig Gen BB Owusu on behalf of COAS.
