The Headquarters Central Command of the Ghana Army has organized cadre for the clerks and operational team of the Command on minor staff duties and basic intelligence between Monday, 11 September and Friday, 15 September 2023, at the conference room of the Command.

The 5-day cadre covered thematic areas such as intelligence gathering, use of social media, service writing, document security, physical security, and cyber security. The rest were report writing, briefing, and security issues, among others.


The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Central Command, Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Charles Agyemang-Prempeh indicated that the training was to teach participants new conventions in the Ghana Army to enable them be professional and up-to-date with modern trends of technological advancement in line with their duties.

He advised participants to be meticulous in carrying out their duties because clerks and the operational team were vital in performing administrative activities for the furtherance of the Unit, and also when the Officer was unavailable.

The Command Operations Officer, Col Henry Ansah-Akrofi, speaking on behalf of GOC, admonished participants to be good ambassadors in their respective Units and impart the knowledge and expertise received to their colleagues. He advised participants to be mindful of how they handled information at the offices and be cautious in information management to protect the service.

He mentioned that the operational aspect of the Ghana Armed Forces hinges on intelligence gathering and charged personnel to put their ears on the ground to deal with threats that the country may confront.
