As part of activities to end the year, the 37 Military Hospital has organized fun games for its staff members on Thursday 30 November, 2023.

The fun games, held at the football park close to Nursing and Midwifery Training College of the Hospital, brought together personnel of the facility to destress, have fun and also to share quality time with their colleagues. 

The games were categorized in order for it to meet the expectation of the organisers. In the male category, there was sack race between Soldiers and Officers, football, and tug of war. The females also had healthy competition in the same disciplines as their male counterpart.

In an address, the Commander 37 Military Hospital, Brigadier General (Brig Gene) Prosper Ayibor described the formation as a unit bonded by shared sense of duty and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of service personnel. He added that the challenging task at the Military Hospital demands technical expertise, compassion, adaptability and profound dedication to the health and recovery of the military community.

Brig Gen Ayibor noted that fun games and recreational activities foster team spirit and a strong sense of unity.

He said it served as a token of appreciation for the extraordinary efforts each staff contributed to the mission of preserving the health and readiness of military personnel. “As we engage in these light-hearted exercises, let us remember the significance of our collective efforts in ensuring the physical and mental well-being of those who serve our nation”, he added.

Present at the occasion were the Commander Critical Care Hospital, Brig Gen Evelyn Vivian Abraham-Kwabiah; Commander Kumasi Military Hospital, Col Seth Attoh; Commanding Officer 37 Military Hospital, Col Richard Mensah; Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Col Francisca Aba Amakyi; CNO Administration, Col Rahinatu Alando; Administrative Officer (Medical), Lt Col Alex Abiti; Administrative Officer (General), Lt Col Emmanuel Yobanya; and some Senior Officers of the formation.
