The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Ghanaian Battalion 92 (GHANBATT 92) conducted a community engagement walk in the town of Rumaysh, Lebanon on Thursday, 18 September 2025. The walk was to introduce GHANBATT 92 to the community by engaging with shop owners and customers, initiating friendly conversations and listening to the community members. This forms part of fulfilling the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which tasks peacekeepers with ensuring a stable and secure environment while providing support to the local populace. The engagement in Rumaysh marks a positive step in continuing the legacy of cooperation between GHANBATT peacekeepers and the communities they serve.
