The Prestige French Learning Centre at the Headquarters Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Whistler Barracks, Teshie has organised French Course 2/25 which ended on Thursday 16 October 2025. Lt Col Owusu-Afriyie who spoke on behalf of the Commandant, TRADOC, Commodore Maxwell Arhen, urged the students to speak the language regularly to improve their fluency and confidence. In a speech read on behalf of the Commanding Officer of the School of Education, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Asiedu, the Administrative Officer, Capt Nyarko Israel underscored the importance of learning the French language, Ghana shares border with Francophone countries. He emphasized that with the Ghana Armed Forces currently deployed in French-speaking countries across Africa, proficiency in French language would enhance interoperability and contribute to more effective peace support operations. The Liaison Officer at the French Embassy in Ghana, Lt Col Pierre Surville reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the smooth running of the French courses across all Garrisons. Also in attendance was the Coordinator for all French Learning Centres within the Ghana Armed Forces, Madam Belincourt Maylis.
