LT COLONEL AMOAH INDUCTED INTO OFFICE

Ghanaian Company (GHANCOY 4) serving with the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) has inducted Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Isaac Keelson Ekow Amoah into office on Sunday 5 October 2025.

The nondenominational religious parade themed “Those who know their God will do exploits” ushered GHANCOY4 into the hands of God for guidance, protection and a successful tour of duty, followed by the Combat Team Commander swearing the of oath of allegiance.

The service was presided over by Reverend Samuel Dogbe, the National Head of the church of Pentecost in Guinea Bissau who urged personnel of the GHANCOY 4 to remain loyal to the Combat Team Commander.

Private Soldier Kamil Mohammed Abdallah recited the Quran Chapter 17:23 with emphasis on obedience and respect to parents, since parents represent any form of legal authority in the sight of Allah.

Speaking at the induction service, Lt Col Amoah thanked Ghana’s Military High Command for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to play his role effectively to achieve the mandate of ECOWAS.

The occasion was graced by the Resident Representative of the President of the ECOWAS Commission in Guinea Bissau, Ambassador Ngozi Ukaeje, the Force Commander, Brigadier General Edward Odinya Ojabo, Staff officers from the Force Headquarters and other ESSMGB Commanders.
