HONOURABLE JULIUS DEBRAH RECEIVES REMAINS OF DEFENCE MINISTER AND SEVEN OTHERS

The Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Honourable Julius Debrah has received the remains of the Minister for Defence, Honourable Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, and seven others who lost their lives in a helicopter crash at Sikaman near Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday 6 August 2025.

The other seven deceased persons received in addition to the late Defence Minister at the Air Force Base in Accra include the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, the Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator and former Minister for Food and Agriculture Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Samuel Sarpong and a former NDC parliamentary candidate for Obuasi East Mr Samuel Aboagye.

The rest were Squadron Leader Peter Baafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu; and Sergeant Addo Mensah Ernest.
