The American Defence Attaché (DA) to Ghana, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Gilbert Brian has called on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp on Thursday, 17 January 2024. The visit was to enable Lt Col Brain introduce himself to the CDS as the newly appointed United States DA, in order to strengthen the diplomatic ties between both countries. Vice Admiral Amoama congratulated the Lt Col Brain on his appointment to the Defense Attaché position. He said the collaboration and support received from the US Navy has helped to combat piracy in the Gulf of Guinea.
