Both contingents, currently serving with the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA), engaged in a competitive match. Team Ghana demonstrated dominance on the court, securing a decisive victory with three straight wins in the three sessions. As hosts, GHANBATT 3 retained the winner’s trophy, while their opponents were awarded a participation trophy. The match served as a source of entertainment and stress management for troops, ensuring they remain focused and resilient while undertaking the demanding tasks of maintaining peace in Abyei. 
The Third Ghanaian Battalion (GHANBATT 3) showcased resilience and teamwork in an organised volleyball match against their Vietnamese counterparts on Friday, 15 November 2024, at the GHANBATT Headquarters in Abyei.
