The Deputy Minister for Defence, Hon Kofi Amankwa Manu emphasized the bilateral ties between the two countries. He underscored the social and political distinctions, recognizing the shared democratic principles and joint pursuit of common objectives. In an interaction with the delegation, he pledged the Ministry’s support to the Tanzanian Ministry of Defence. The Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) Administration, Air Vice Marshall (AVM) Michael Appiah-Agyekum on behalf of the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah received the delegation and encouraged them to actively participate in the activities and purpose of their visit.Director Regional Integration Bureau of Foreign Affairs Dr Robert Afriyie delineated the diplomatic mission of the ministry, emphasizing fundamental principles such as the promotion and protection of Ghana's interests, promotion of the settlement of international disputes through peaceful means among others to enlighten the delegation on the ministry's responsibilities.Commissioner General of the Ghana Boundary Commission Major General Kotia in an interaction with the delegation, focused on the Commissions work as well as other critical issues relating to boundary management, peace, and security. The Deputy Commandant (GAFCSC), Brig Gen Seidu Abass provided the delegation with an overview of the College's functions, highlighting its mission and vision to develop intellectually adept Officers and allied personnel. As part of the itinerary, the delegation visited the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ghana Boundary Commission and Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC). Exploring Ghana's rich cultural heritage, the delegation visited iconic landmarks such as the National Museum and the Kwame Nkrumah Museum which offered them a glimpse into Ghana's history, from its pre-colonial past to its journey towards independence and beyond.
