The Support Services Command has organised an orientation seminar for the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) Junior Staff Course 84 on Friday, 29 August 2025.

The event, held at the Command Mess in Burma Camp, was aimed at providing Junior Officers with an in-depth understanding of the organizational framework, operational roles, and inter-unit collaboration within the support system of the Ghana Armed Forces.

The Public Relations Officer Support Services Command, Lieutenant Colonel Linda Arezak noted that the initiative was part of a broader effort to ensure that future leaders of the Ghana Armed Forces are well-versed in the capabilities and functions of Combat service support units.

As part of the seminar, representatives from the Forces Pay Regiment, Supply and Transport, Defence Mechanical Transport Battalion and Movement Control Unit, the Health Service, Base Workshop, the Ghana Military Police, and the Central Ordnance Depot among others, offered insight into their operational mandates, technical roles, and the logistical and security support they provide to GAF and the entire country at large.

The seminar served as a practical platform for Junior Officers to be abreast with the roles of these units and gain exposure to the diverse support mechanisms that enable operational readiness within GAF.
