Flight Cadets of the Ghana Military Academy Regular Career Course 63 (RCC 63) have paid a study visit to the 69 Airborne Force in Tamale on Friday 11 October 2024.

The visit, part of their seven-week training aimed at providing them with knowledge of the operational layout and administrative activities of the Unit.

On arrival, the Training Officer of the 69 Airborne Force, Major Hubert Benjamin Nartey, gave the cadets a detailed central briefing on the organisational structure and the roles and responsibilities of the 69 Airborne Force.

The Commanding Officer (CO) of the 69 Airborne Force, Lieutenant Colonel Louis Yaw Boakye, in his remarks, stated that the Unit trains paratroopers of the Ghana Armed Forces and is designated as a Special Force Unit to conduct special ground and air operations, serving as a quick reaction force and reserve to support operations conducted by the Ghana Army.

The CO urged the cadets to remain loyal, professional, and disciplined at all times.

The cadets toured the Unit and witnessed demonstrations by the Special Force Operatives, showcasing their readiness to decisively address potential security threats in the Northern Sector of the country.
