Odeneho Dr Akosua Fimah-Dwabeng II expressed her delight and enthusiasm for the appointment, describing it as a proud moment for the people of Dormaa Ahenkro. She also pledged her support and that of the people of Dormaa Traditional area to the CDS and offered prayers for guidance and wisdom for the latter in his new role. Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, in his remarks, was appreciative of the Queenmother’s gesture and assured her of his commitment to serving the nation with dedication and integrity. 
On Thursday 25 July 2024, the Paramount Queenmother of Dormaa Traditional Area, Odeneho Dr Akosua Fimah Dwabeng II and her high-powered entourage have visited and congratulated the Chief of the Defense Staff, (CDS) Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, on his elevation and appointment to the highest office in the Ghana Armed Forces.
