The National Security Minister, Honourable Albert Kan-Dapaah, has  paid a familiarisation visit to the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMGB) GHANCOY 3 Headquarters on Saturday, 16 November 2024.

The visit followed his nomination by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to represent him at the 51st Independence Anniversary celebration of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.

Honourable Kan-Dapaah conveyed the President’s satisfaction with the operations and dedication of GHANCOY and commended all ranks for their exemplary conduct. He urged them to remain ambassadors of Ghana in their service.

T he Officer Commanding ESSMGB GHANCOY 3, Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel Mawuli Agboado, briefed the Minister and his entourage on operational activities and expressed gratitude for the government’s unwavering support to the Company.

Accompanying the Minister were Ghana’s Ambassador to Guinea Conakry and Guinea-Bissau, His Excellency Maxwell Awiaga; Ambassador Sena Siaw-Boateng; Chief Director at the Ministry of National Security, Mr Peter Taylor; Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Dr Victoria Sam; Director of the Analysis Department, Ministry of National Security, Mrs Rebecca Kan-Dapaah; and Mrs Rebecca Kan-Dapaah, spouse of the Minister.
