Muslims of Ghana Battalion 90 (GHANBATT 90) serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon have climaxed the thirty days fasting and prayers with Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations on Wednesday 10 April, 2024. The event held at the Ghanbatt Headquarters shows the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the standard to distinguish between right and wrong. The Ghanbatt Imam, Lieutenant Abdul-Majeed Shuaib Suleiman, reminded Muslims that Eid-Ul-Fitr was not only a time of celebration but a time give charity and show compassion. He urged them to reflect on the lessons learnt during the Ramadan some of which include the importance of gratitude and humility in Islam. He also charged all Muslims to be united regardless of their ethnicity or language differences and focus on the teachings of compassion, generosity and devotion in their day-to-day activities. Lieutenant Abdul-Majeed also prayed for Allah to accept their fasting and prayers, guide them on the right path of righteousness and shower his blessings upon their families. Commanding Officer UNIFIL GH 90, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Kwesi Agyeman congratulated all Muslims for the spiritual exercise and entreat them to let the 30 days of the spiritual journey show in their endeavours.
