The Force Commander, Lieutenant General Aroldo Lazaro Saenz has visited Warrant Officer Class I (WO I) Asante Bernard at the Jabel Amel Hospital in Tyre on Monday, 13 November 2023. The Ghanaian Peacekeeper got hit in his lower abdomen by an ammunition during a retaliatory confrontation between IDF and Armed groups on Saturday, 11 November and was evacuated to the medical facility for treatment after his condition was stabilized at the GHANBATT Level 1 hospital. The injured Warrant Officer is doing very well and responding to treatment. Lt Gen Aroldo Lazaro Saenz assured him of his continuous support until his full recovery. In a related development, the Commanding Officer (CO), UNIFIL GHANBATT 90, Lt Col Frank Kwesi Agyeman also visited the injured soldier and assured him of the Ghanbatt support both physically and spiritually.
