IGP PAYS WORKING VISIT TO GOC CEN COMD

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare has paid a working visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Central Command, Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Charles Agyemang-Prempeh at his office on Friday, 12 January 2024.

The visit was to foster collaboration and esprit de corps amongst soldiers and police personnel in the Ashanti Region and also to congratulate Brig Gen Agyemang-Prempeh on his assumption of office as GOC Central Command.

The IGP commended the GOC and soldiers of Central Command for operating together with the police service in the spirit of brotherliness by ensuring that crime rate in the Ashanti Region had reduced to the barest minimum. He urged personnel of both services to work as partners to promote national development. He hinted that the Police Service would always fall on the Army for assistance when the need arises. The GOC, Brig Gen Charles Agyemang-Prempeh assured IGP that the Command would work with the Police to ensure peace in the Ashanti Region.
