The 1Infantry Battalion (1Bn) has held its second quarter religious parade for Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) trainees at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Michel Camp on Sunday 5 May, 2024.
In his sermon, Reverend Lieutenant Franklyn Kumi-Lartey admonished personnel to remember where they are coming from and the training they have gone through to enable them deliver on their responsibilities.
He said it was important for them to remember God’s blessings in their lives and the job which has been entrusted to them which according to him would help drive the GPHA to achieve its goals.
The Guest of Honour, Human Resources Manager, GPHA Tema, Mrs. Rosemary Dankwa commended 1BN for their selfless dedication to national security. Adding that the devotion and sacrifices in the discharge of their duties and relentless services to the good people of Ghana was deeply appreciated.
She further stated that the GPHA has a long-standing relationship with the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), and that as a model institution of professionalism and discipline, it takes pride in its partnership with the GAF in the area of training.
Mrs Dankwa admonished GHPA trainees to diligently go through the training as every aspect of it has been designed to help shape them into astute professionals capable of assisting GPHA to effectively deliver on its mandate of providing unique, safe and secured ports management in Ghana.
She again advised the trainees to rely on the virtues integrity, dedication and commitment adding that the rigorous training has been crafted to refine their professional proficiencies.
