GMA RECEIVES DEDICATORY GIFTS

Six former instructors after whom some facilities of GMA have been named, have gifted commemorative items to the institution

The Ghana Military Academy (GMA) has received commemorative items from six former instructors at the Whistler Barracks in Teshie on Thursday 12 December 2024.

The former instructors after whom some of the facilities at the Academy have been named, returned valuables which includes three plaques, framed photographs and a citation highlighting their military achievements.

The leader of the team, Ex-Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Moses Frempah, expressed gratitude to GMA for recognising their contributions and honouring them after retirement. He suggested that cadets who excel in drill, skill-at-arms, and physical training should be awarded during the Graduation Dinner and Awards Night. He further recommended that framed photographs and citations be placed in prominent locations as memorials.

The Acting Commandant, Brigadier General Charles Agyeman Prempeh, expressed appreciation for the gifts and encouraged current instructors to emulate these examples to maintain their legacy even after retirement.

The six former instructors include Ex-MWO Moses Frempah, Ex-WOI John Baba, Ex-WOI Seth Dokunor, Ex-WOI Maxwell Afzanabaga, Ex-WOI Prosper Badohu and the late Ex-WOI Francis Bawa.
