The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Ghana Battalion (GHANBATT) 10 held a Band Concert and End of Tour Get-Together on Friday 11 August 2023 to mark the end of Battalion activities in Bentiu, South Sudan.

 

The Band Concert featured performances from the GHANBATT Regimental and Dance Bands, under the command of Band Officer, Lt (GN) Theophilus Stanley Brocke. The End of Tour Get-Together was attended by troops as well as civilian Staff Officers and Military Liaison Officers within the UNMISS Bentiu Base Camp, with Contingent Commander, Colonel KKK Affrifah gracing the event as the Guest of Honour.

 

Commanding Officer (CO) UNMISS GHANBATT 10, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Prince Tandoh in his remarks expressed gratitude to key appointment holders and troops for their support and hard work. He further expressed appreciation to Force Enablers at the Bentiu Field Office for their assistance and contribution to the success of the Battalion over the period of the Tour.

 

The End of Tour Get-Together also featured an award ceremony where deserving personnel were recognised and commended for their hard work and dedication to the success of the Battalion. The event included dinner and concluded with an all-ranks dance.
