He disclosed that his team would provide search dogs, training programmes, equipment assistance, and capacity building initiatives tailored to the needs of the Navy during his visit to the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu, on Tuesday 9 July 2024, at the Naval Headquarters, Burma Camp. This move is seen as a significant boost to the Ghana Navy's efforts to maintaining security at Sea. Rear Admiral Yakubu congratulated him on his appointment as the new HOM for GAFTAG in Ghana, whilst acknowledging the high quality of projects delivered by the Group. He welcomed the pledge, stating that, it would greatly enhance the Ghana Navy's capabilities. "We look forward to a fruitful Collaboration". He added. Lt Col Andreas pledged to expand GAFTAG's support and cooperation to the Ghana Navy and also embark on more projects within the ocean space. The Head of Mission (HOM), German Armed Forces Technical Advisory Group (GAFTAG) Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Andreas Heselschwerdt, has pledged to support and partner the Ghana Navy.
