The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has drawn the curtains for its Conflict and Crisis Management Course (CCMC) organised for the Senior Command and Staff Course 45 on Friday 26 July, 2024.

The two-week (CCMC) course 1/ 2024 which was held at the Hamidu Hall, Teshie Ridge was aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of conflict and internal crisis management, enabling them to work more effectively, efficiently, and cohesively.

The Guest of Honour and Chairman of the National Peace Council, Reverend Doctor (Rev Dr) Ernest Adu-Gyamfi in his remarks express gratitude to the GAFCSC Commandant, Major General Matthew Essien for supporting and contributing in diverse ways to the success of the course.

 He mentioned that the course was organized in order for the participant to understand the various organizational roles which would aid the security sectors to use principles and techniques for conflict management when the need arises. He added that acquiring the knowledge of conflict management and crises is a critical requirement for every nation.

The Guest of Honor applauded the college for their innovative programs and the involvement of state agencies to study, deliberate, and seek ways to address national issues. He also commended the college for the initiative and the effective collaboration, and engagement with other security stakeholders.

He expressed the need for other academic institutions to develop and run practical programs such as conflict and crisis management to upgrade the skills of the Ghanaian workforce in addressing current or future conflict crises.

Reverend Doctor (Rev Dr) Ernest Adu-Gyamfi, urged the participants to share the knowledge acquired in their various organizations to enable others benefit and make a difference.
