The Northern Command (N/COMD) of the Ghana Army, commenced its 2023 Exercise Tigers’ Path Training on Monday, 4 September 2023 at the Justice Opoku Hall, Kamina Barracks towards this year’s Tri-Service competition.

The Exercise forms part of Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) training activities for this year and will involve Platoons drawn from Army, Navy and Air Force. Exercise Tiger’s Path 2023 is to be organized on competitive basis by the Army Training Command in Akim Achiase General Area from Tuesday, 21 November to Friday 24 November this year.

The Command Operations Officer (COO) Colonel (Col) Franklin Worlanyo Agbebo in his opening remarks on behalf of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command Brigadier General Matthew Essien noted that the Exercise is aimed at testing a cross-section of GAF Personnel in jungle craft and skills in Internal Security and Counter-Insurgency setting.

Colonel FWK Agbebo added that, the Command intends to win this year’s trophy and has therefore put administrative measures to ensure that the 11-weeks training programme is tough enough to make the team successful. He also encouraged them to remain discipline and be ready to learn from instructors.

COO urged the team to give off their best to meet the standard required and to continue to raise the flag of Northern Command high. He tasked the instructors to professionally handle the team in order to emerge winners during the competition
