The Defence Civilian Establishment (DCE) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has organised an orientation programme for newly employed staff at the Civilian Establishment Conference Room, Burma Camp on Wednesday, 27 August 2025.

The exercise was aimed at acquainting the newly employed staff with first-hand information on the traditions, roles, procedures and functions of GAF. This was to enable them to effectively perform their assigned duties and enhance productivity.

In his address, the Deputy Director General (DDG) Defence Civilian Establishment, Colonel William Kofi Karikari, welcomed the new staff to GAF and encouraged them to abide by the Armed Forces Regulations as well as other institutional guidelines.

Colonel Karikari emphasised the importance of discipline, continuous learning and personal growth, stressing that these form part of the core values of the military. He urged the personnel to remain committed to their duties and to adapt to GAF’s institutional culture, which emphasises respect for both superiors and colleagues.
