As part of efforts to improve the living standards of military personnel, the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has inspected accommodation blocks for soldiers at Tema Community 22 on Wednesday 11 December 2024.

The CDS inspected the facility after the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Homeownership Fund Company Limited, Mr Dela Dzandu, handed over seven 2-bedroom unit blocks to him, promising additional three units upon completion within three months.

The blocks, constructed in partnership with National Home Ownership Fund, are expected to alleviate the long-standing accommodation challenges faced by the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) in 1Garrison.
